KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform bookkeeping and maintain the accounting records for a number of companies, in accordance with IFRS
Process invoices, receipts, and payments
Conduct monthly banks’, debtors’ and suppliers’ reconciliations
Support a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industry sectors with their accounting/ bookkeeping requests and reply to add-hoc requests from clients
Proficiently communicating with clients, gathering relevant documentation and/or information
Assist with and manage the preparation and submission of VAT and VIES reports
Assisting with the preparation of monthly payroll calculations, as needed
Coordinate with auditors, local authorities, and external stakeholders, as needed
Be able to offer guidance and support to more junior members of the accounting team
Review accounting team work as needed
As needed, assisting with other accounting projects
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or another related field is desired
Professional qualification will be considered an advantage (ACA/ACCA)
3 years of experience in a related role
Prior experience in the financial services sector will be considered an advantage
Strong knowledge of IFRS, Cyprus tax legislation, and VAT regulations
Knowledge of esoft accounting software will be considered as an additional advantage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
