As part of our continuous growth, we are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team and reinforce our internal governance and compliance structures. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key aspects of client onboarding, due diligence, and ongoing KYC/AML compliance.
Position Details:
Employment Type: Full-time, On-Site (Limassol, Cyprus)
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday, 9:00 – 17:00
Fridays, 9:00 – 14:00
Responsibilities:
Oversee and perform client onboarding, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.
Review and maintain Know Your Customer (KYC) records in an organized and up-to-date manner.
Conduct verification of Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs), including source of funds and source of wealth.
Monitor and update the firm’s KYC and AML policies and procedures in line with current regulations
Act as a liaison for compliance-related communications with clients and counterparties.
Proactively identify and escalate potential risks or issues related to compliance processes.
Risk Evaluation: Identify and mitigate compliance risks through systematic reviews and action plans.
Handle incoming requests for compliance information from external stakeholders and ensure timely, accurate responses.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline. A legal background is a strong advantage.
Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Compliance Officer, ideally within a legal, fiduciary, or financial services environment in Cyprus.
Proficiency in both Greek and English (written and spoken).
Strong understanding of KYC/AML regulations and best practices.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong communication skills and professionalism when dealing with clients and partners.
High level of discretion, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field will be considered an advantage.
A legal background will be considered a strong asset for this role.
